Pura Vida is a rural oasis tucked away from the constant buzzing of motorcycles & cars common in central Pai. While there is a main road in front of the resort and it can be a little noisy at times, the bungalows are far enough away & nestled in a well-cared-for garden that has been meticulously designed which creates a calm & peaceful setting. Stone pathways are connected by small bridges that stretch over swimming koi & lotus flowers with dragonflies dancing from one to the next. You really have to see it for yourself! When I arrived in Pai. I messaged the property about transport to the resort and was messaged back very quickly with location information, transport options, and what I should expect to pay. I was able to hire a taxi which cost about 200 baht for a 4-kilometer ride. Pura Vida is quite far from the city and transportation will be hard to obtain if you are not renting scooters or bikes. The distance is great for those looking for a real Pai countryside experience. There are farms and livestock in the area. Be sure to book trips and sightseeing in advance and arrange transport with the resort if you need to travel by car or van. They can help with that. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Khun Aey warmly checked me into my room and offered me coffee & some fruit while I waited. She asked which breakfast I would like in the morning. There were three delicious selections: French toast with fruit, American breakfast with eggs, toast, sausage, & fruit, and cereal with fruit. There was also excellent local coffee and juice. It was very nice to way start the day there. On the second day, I met the owner's Jeff and Vanna. We had great conversations on the patio in front and chatted into the evening. They are working hard to improve the guest experience better day by day. We even went on a little side to the canyon. The WIFI was upgraded recently and it was so fast. Maybe the fastest in Pai!

Pure bliss staying at this beautiful oasis, the garden is gorgeous and maintained by our lovely hostess Vanda! You can tell that she loves being at Pura Vida Pai. There are comfy places to sit scattered throughout the garden area and restaurant. We spent half the day just relaxing and reading. We had a delicious breakfast of yogurt, fruit and muesli and yummy rice soup. The rooms are colorful and very comfortable, windows with screens that we could open at night without using the AC. All in all a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature! On a side note, my husband left his kindle in the room and Vanda contacted him and mailed it to our last destination out of the goodness of her heart. ❤️🙏❤️

Everything! The owner and everyone else who works there is kind, welcoming and tremendously attentive. They went above and beyond to make you feel at home. More so than we have come accross travelling 6 weeks in the whole of Thailand, and that includes 5* resorts. Pura Vida is a lovely place in breathtaking nature, 10 minutes by a beautiful road from Pai centre. The rooms are quaint and spacious enough, and the breakfast / relax area is surrounded by a lily pond and mountain views to die for. Breakfast is tasty and wholesome, choosable from a menu (coffee is really good as well), scooters are affordable and rentable per day. Do yourself a favour and just book here straight away.

Super loved a two night stay at Pura Vida Resort… our host, Vanda, is so lovely, and her staffs are very kind and thoughtful.. the garden is really wonderful, well maintained and full of color and water features, and it has a variety of seating areas… the quiet and natural setting made for such a good feeling. The cabins are comfy with top quality pillows and mattress, a seating area, and a very nice shower. Wifi is strong throughout. Breakfast was perfect. Just a short drive from town center, really well worth the trip. Would easily recommend to others and can’t wait to return myself… cheers!

The wonderful Vanda went out of her way to make my 18 year old daughter and her friend's stay exceptional. She arranged transport to and from town to the resort, she provided a driver's number because there is no Grab or Uber in Pai, she booked a tour for them to do in Pai that was amazing, and she even went out of her way to connect her with other guests. Vanda even made sure they had food for the road when they departed. As a mother, I really deeply appreciated the care Vanda put in to making sure my daughter was safe and felt welcomed.
